“I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. May my meditation be sweet and pleasing to Him; As for me, I will rejoice and be glad in the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭104‬:‭33‬-‭34‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We are all called to partake in the collective symphony of Praise and Worship to God, may we be instruments of peace, in unity and worship. Being Music Makers in whichever creative field He has gifted us in. May He be honored, glorified and magnified in our creative worship lifestyle. ~ag

What is Worship?

What is Worship? The dictionary defines worship as a reverent honor and adoration for God, a sacred personage or an object. Showing profound religious devotion, respect and admiration because it is considered divine. Having a longing for and desire of that which is being worshiped. The Honor given to someone in recognition of their merit. Showing reverence and adoration for (a deity); honor with religious rites.

Worship is more than songs, more than singing, and more than music, it is a constant communion with God. Worship is a Lifestyle. God is more glorified when we are more satisfied in Him (John 6:35, John 7:37-38). When we see God our natural response as a human is to worship, because He created us to worship Him. There is nothing greater than God, nothing more beautiful or more wonderful. Our purpose in life is to worship and magnify Him (Psalms 69:30), this is the meaning of our existence (1 Peter 2:9). Our worship is rooted in and tethered to the realities of biblical revelation. It is not based on what feels good or on our emotions. It isn’t about what we do to honor Him but in Honoring Him in truth and spirit, from our hearts. It is genuine and selfless, glorifying Him not ourselves. An acute desire that springs out of love and adoration for Him. Loving Him with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind and all of our strength (Deuteronomy 6:5, Mark 12:30). A Lifestyle of Worship is a sacrifice (Galatians 2:20, Galatians 5:24). Giving to the Lord whatever He requires of our time, earthly possessions, and our energies to further His work (Matthew 6:33). Giving of our time, talents, and resources for the benefit of others. Denying ourselves daily of our own passions and desires, taking up our cross daily and following Him. We are a living sacrifice to God (Romans 12:1). We walk the narrow road, the hard path following Jesus (Matthew 7:13-14).

May we be a people marked by Love (John 13:35). May we sing to the Lord all the days of our lives (Psalms 104:33-34). May we thank Him for His goodness daily (1 Thessalonians 5:18, Psalms 100:4, Philippians 4:6), Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Rejoice always (1 Thessalonians 5:16) and May we do everything for the glory of God (Colossians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 10:31).
